Now that Amanda and Aaron have tied the knot, I can finally share the Bridal Session photos I took of her back in June! I’m so excited to show off these pictures. Amanda is beautiful in her wedding dress, and you could tell then that she was just so excited to be getting married to Aaron. Yesterday I met with Angela to photograph her baby bump and document the last few weeks of her pregnancy. She is due in just three weeks and is expecting a baby boy. We were lucky enough to be able to use Monocan Park Rd. and the beautiful lake and grassy grounds as our backdrop. Here are just a few of my favorites from this most recent maternity session. Enjoy!

Even though the forecast was iffy and the weather was a bit cooler than expected, Stacia and Jeff’s beach wedding in the Outer Banks went off without a hitch! The couple exchanged their vows down on the beach in Kill Devil Hills before moving to a cocktail hour by the pool up at the house they had rented for the week. A catered dinner was had inside with the toast and a cupcake cutting before the party got started back down at the pool with beverages and music. I was lucky enough to not just enjoy this wedding as the paid photographer, but as a friend. Stacia and I went to Longwood College together and are Tri Sigma sorority sisters. Thanks to Facebook we’ve been able to keep up with one another through the years. She asked me to photograph her reception which is being held in Richmond, Va. in August. When I found out she didn’t have a photographer for the beach ceremony, I naturally offered my photography services. And boy am I glad I did

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting T.J and Brittany and their dog, Leroy, for engagement photos at their family friend’s house in Forest, Va. Brittany and T.J. are both from the Lynchburg area but didn’t meet each other until going off to college at Radford University. They recently became engaged and are excited to start planning their wedding. I had so much fun photographing this couple and incorporating their dog into the shoot. I love it when we can show off the personality of a couple through photographs. Enjoy!

This weekend I traveled to Virginia Beach, Va. to meet Aaron and Amanda for their Engagement Session. We were fortunate to use the beautiful grounds of Church Point Manor for the first half of our session, before venturing off to a state park on the Chesapeake Bay for the remainder of our engagement shoot. I had so much fun getting to know Aaron and Amanda while photographing them throughout the day. This easy-going couple is just so much fun and were open to anything I threw at them. I am excited to continue working with them as I prepare for Amanda’s Bridal Session in a few months before capturing the main event (the wedding!) in September.
