Help! I Need Your Opinions :) Office Makeover – Lynchburg, Va. Photographer

So I’ve been posting on my facebook fan page a little about the office makeover that I’m currently undertaking. Everything is being changed, from the floor, to the wall color, the furniture and lighting. So that means that I also need to choose updated CANVAS WALL ART! And I can’t do it alone. I’m looking for your opinions – which image do you think I should choose to be featured as a large focal canvas on my wall? Now to give you a little insight as to the “look” my office is headed in – I’ve painted the walls a pretty light blueish-green color, with white chair railings and mouldings. My office furniture is white with a pop of color from a teal dresser. And the curtains I’ve chosen feature dark and light teal colors against a white background. I really want to portray a clean and stylish space with inviting colors and contrast. So I need this canvas to be a large, horizontal image that will fit within the office design, BUT also show off my photography style. If any of these images strike you, please leave your comment on this blog post with your favorite pick! I hope to make my big decision this week.

Another Great Album Choice!

All I can say is “WOW!!” I am so excited to offer a second album option to my wedding and portrait album selection. I designed this album for my studio use earlier this week, and received the completed album TODAY! I was amazed at how quickly it arrived. And I was even more impressed with the quality and construction of this album. The album displayed here is an 8×8 black leather album with 22 pages. Now my clients will be able to choose between a beautiful, linen album, seen here, and this leather option.

Snow Day Engagement Session – Leah and Rob – Downtown Lynchburg, Va. Engagement Photographer

Leah and I had planned her and Rob’s Engagement Session date a few weeks out, and when we did we had no idea that a huge snow storm was coming through the week before their session. But I was thrilled that the couple wanted to keep their original session date, and they were down with bundling up early in the morning and trekking through the snow for some great winter wonderland images! We first hit one of my favorite spots, Percival’s Island, but this was the first time I’d seen in covered in snow. Beautiful! Then we wandered towards a few old buildings downtown and used them to our advantage. We ended our session near Depot Grille, which was so fitting since that is where Leah and Rob had their first date! This was the first time I’d scheduled an Engagement Session at sunrise, and Wow! What the heck was I waiting for?? The natural lighting was amazing! I absolutely love how these images came out, and am excited that Leah and Rob love them too! Enjoy!

New Years Day Engagement Session – Tabitha and Teddy – Downtown Lynchburg, Va. Engagement Photographer

I met with Tabitha and Teddy on the very first day of 2014 to wander the downtown Lynchburg area and snap their Engagement images. I can’t think of a better way to kick off the new year! This session was so much fun, and I really loved getting to know Tabitha and Teddy a little better. Many times, the Engagment Session is the first time I meet my wedding clients, since most book me after chatting through email or by phone. These sessions are so important for me because it’s a chance to really get to know my clients and their personalities. This is why most of my wedding packages include a complimentary Engagement Session. I love connecting with my clients before their wedding so we are all more comfortable on that very special day! I hope you enjoy this little peek of their photo session as much as I enjoyed hanging out with this couple a few weeks ago.

Jen and Mike Engagement Session – Yoders’ Pumpkin Patch – Lynchburg, Va. Engagement Photographer

I can’t believe I forgot to blog this adorable Pumpkin Patch Engagement Session this past fall! I realized it was missing from my blog while perusing through my site considering the updates that need to be made, so I figured why not add it now. Jen and Mike had a beautiful afternoon for their engagement session, although we were racing to beat an impending storm. We just made it though, finishing up their session minutes before the rain hit. I loved the fall flair of this session set amongst pumpkins, hay bales and a corn maze. And Jen and Mike were such a joy to work with. They came to the session filled with ideas, and were very open to the suggestions I had as well. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this August at Bedford Columns in Bedford, Va. Enjoy this little peek from their Fall session.
