Pictures in the Park Fundraiser for the TBC MOPS – Riverside Park – Lynchburg, Va. Photographer

This past Sunday and Monday I spent a few hours in the park volunteering my time photographing families to help raise money for the Timberlake Baptist Church Mothers of Preschoolers group. As a former member of a MOPS group, I was happy to assist in this group’s efforts. I love photographing families and children, and this event gave me the opportunity to meet some wonderful parents and their kids. Each family had about a 20-25 minute photo session with me at the park. We strolled the park, stopping at a few different locations, to get some photos. I loved mixing posed shots with the more candid shots to keep the kids interested and having fun during their session. Having a young son myself, I know that children need variety or they get bored, and a bored child is not a happy one to photographSo to keep them happy, I threw in some leaf throwing and tree climbing. Here are a few of my favorites pictures from each photo session.
