For the last two years, my final wedding of the season has been held at the Old Pate Chapel in Lynchburg, Va. It is always such a pleasure photographing weddings at this venue. This past December, I was fortunate to be chosen as Skylar and Paul’s wedding photographer for their beautiful winter wedding, held just one week before Christmas. When I first saw Sky in her wedding dress I was floored. She is such a classic beauty with her dark hair, fair skin and red lips. She was a stunning bride. And let’s not count Paul out, he looked so dapper in his classic black suit. The couple’s wedding festivities started out with a First Look outside of the Chapel. I adored the way the two of them looked at each other and how comfortable they were together. We then moved into capturing all of their important portraits for the day, including family portraits inside the Chapel, before the wedding ceremony began. The first look allowed Sky and Paul to head straight over to their reception space at the Bottling Company and greet guests. I am so excited to share some of my favorite images from this winter Lynchburg wedding.
The wedding details were absolutely breathtaking and fit the season so beautifully. I couldn’t get enough of the deep reds and golds used in the reception space, as well as in Sky’s bouquet and the wedding party dresses.
